BIG BEAR & SEQUOIA NATIONAL PARK - CALIFORNIA ROAD TRIP
Big Bear, California
Big Bear, California was our first stop on our 30 day road trip. We have heard about this mountain oasis for many years, but have never been! What a gorgeous small town hidden atop a mountain outside of the normal busy Southern California atmosphere. We were here for only less than 24 hours and wish we could of stayed longer! We pitched a tent, spent the night and strolled around Big Bear Lake before leaving.
Stella likes rolling in dead fish, we now know this. Ew!
This is the backside of Big Bear. We were heading off to Sequoia National Park!
Stella and Jasper love the window down as much as I love ice cream for dinner.
This is a small town in California called Lindsay I believe. I didn't care for the town due to the horrible pollution, but this scenery slightly made up for it. We had to stop for some photos!
Sequoia National Park, California
Okay, we are now at Sequoia National Park! This place is super scenic and Daniel and I will for sure be back, without our dogs. Unfortunately, due to bears and what not our dogs are not allowed on most trails within National Parks. I was so excited to see the worlds biggest tree, The Sherman aka The President, but no dogs allowed. We spent one night in Sequoia National Park and ooooo'ed and awwww'ed at the size of the Sequoia trees. Their bark is is up to three feet thick! We hung out at a creek all day and enjoyed the wild life of deer and ONE BLACK BEAR! We were so excited to see our first bear that the photo we got of it was measly. Not shown in this post.

Daniel versus a Sequoia Tree.
I love the moss that grows on the trees. Such tiny beauty.
