Meg & Brett’s summer wedding at Vail Wedding Deck this past June was not normal by any means. It was an adventure from beginning to end. We started the day with sunshine and an epic first look with their adorable pup and right before the ceremony a huge blizzard blew in and changed everything. We attempted to wait out the storm but it was not passing. Luckily Meg & Brett are as badass as they get and opted for a two minute ceremony outside in the blizzard and then we headed down the mountain to nicer weather. They had their impromptu wedding ceremony outside of there reception held at The Lodge at Vail. After the ceremony we all cheered with joy. No storm was going to stop their love.

While I was capturing some snowy portraits, Meg said to me, “I did always want a winter wedding!”. Well Meg you got just that and a lot more. I could care less that my fingers were nearly frostbitten as I captured photos of them, the fact that they wanted portraits in the blizzard warmed my soul. Their day unfolded in an unordinary way but it made for a memorable and exciting adventure. When life gives you snowfall in summer, make sure you have a cute leather jacket and roll with the punches <3
